Full disclosure: I did not make this fig tart. I went home today to test out my new camera, which will mean much more frequent and hopefully higher quality blog posts, but it also means that this dessert was made by my mom. I basically just snapped pictures and fiddled with camera settings while she made this excellent recipe from the New York Times. In my defense, this camera came with an hour and a half long instructional video. Upgrading from a point and shoot to this thing is like learning to fly a space shuttle after only ever driving a Ford Focus.
The good thing is, I figured out a lot. From now on, I will be posting much more often and including pictures that hopefully get better and better. So enjoy this gallery and I’ll be cooking some cool stuff soon.
